Druy-Parigny est mentionn\u00e9 d\u00e8s l\u2019an 966, lorsque l\u2019\u00e9v\u00eaque de Nevers re\u00e7oit les terres du lieu par donation, marquant ainsi la naissance d\u2019une puissante baronnie eccl\u00e9siastique. La situation g\u00e9ographique de Druy, perch\u00e9e sur un promontoire surplombant la Loire, n\u2019est pas anodine : elle permettait un contr\u00f4le visuel et militaire de la vall\u00e9e et de la navigation fluviale, essentielle au commerce et aux d\u00e9placements \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9poque. Une premi\u00e8re maison forte y est construite vers 1050, marquant le d\u00e9but d\u2019un r\u00f4le strat\u00e9gique pour le village dans la d\u00e9fense de la r\u00e9gion et le rayonnement de l\u2019\u00c9glise de Nevers. “Il y avait probablement, dit Soultrait, un ch\u00e2teau-fort d\u00e8s les premiers temps de la f\u00e9odalit\u00e9.”\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Le ch\u00e2teau de Druy-Parigny<\/strong>, surplombe la vall\u00e9e de la Loire depuis plus de mille ans. Il prend racine d\u00e8s le Xe si\u00e8cle avec la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019une baronnie eccl\u00e9siastique par les \u00e9v\u00eaques de Nevers. Une premi\u00e8re maison forte est \u00e9difi\u00e9e autour de 1050 pour contr\u00f4ler la navigation fluviale.<\/p>

Le ch\u00e2teau tel qu\u2019on le conna\u00eet aujourd\u2019hui est b\u00e2ti au XIIIe si\u00e8cle<\/strong> par la famille de Thianges. Il est plusieurs fois d\u00e9truit et reconstruit : br\u00fbl\u00e9 par les Anglais en 1356, restaur\u00e9 en 1388 par Bureau de La Rivi\u00e8re, chambellan du roi Charles V, puis ravag\u00e9 lors des guerres de Religion en 1562.<\/p>

Au fil des si\u00e8cles, il \u00e9volue, change de propri\u00e9taires, et conna\u00eet de nouveaux am\u00e9nagements, notamment aux XVIIe et XIXe si\u00e8cles. En 1886, un incendie d\u00e9truit une partie du ch\u00e2teau, puis la Premi\u00e8re Guerre mondiale voit la r\u00e9quisition de ses mat\u00e9riaux. Le drame survient en septembre 1944<\/strong> : les Allemands, en repr\u00e9sailles \u00e0 une embuscade locale, incendient le hameau de Dardault et endommagent le ch\u00e2teau. Le Grand P\u00e8re du propri\u00e9taire actuel, qui tentait de venir au secours des habitants de Dardault, y fut tu\u00e9 par les Allemands.<\/p>

Aujourd\u2019hui encore, malgr\u00e9 les \u00e9preuves, le ch\u00e2teau conserve ses tours, son porche, ses douves et une partie de ses b\u00e2timents d\u2019\u00e9poque<\/strong>, en attente d\u2019un programme de restauration port\u00e9 par ses propri\u00e9taires actuels, la famille de Maigret.<\/p>

Chaque ann\u00e9e, \u00e0 l\u2019occasion des Journ\u00e9es Europ\u00e9ennes du Patrimoine<\/strong>, le ch\u00e2teau ouvre exceptionnellement ses portes au public. C\u2019est l\u2019occasion unique de d\u00e9couvrir ce lieu priv\u00e9<\/strong>, habituellement ferm\u00e9, et de plonger dans son histoire mill\u00e9naire<\/strong>.<\/p>

Les visiteurs peuvent admirer le porche d\u2019entr\u00e9e, les anciennes tours, les douves et les fa\u00e7ades conserv\u00e9es, tout en \u00e9changeant avec les propri\u00e9taires qui partagent souvenirs de famille et projets de restauration. Des documents d\u2019archives, des photos anciennes et une fiche de visite sont \u00e9galement mis \u00e0 disposition.\u00a0<\/p>

Nich\u00e9e au c\u0153ur du village, l\u2019\u00e9glise Saint-Martin de Druy<\/strong> est l\u2019un des plus anciens \u00e9difices religieux de la Ni\u00e8vre. Sa construction remonte aux XIe et XIIe si\u00e8cles<\/strong>, p\u00e9riode charni\u00e8re o\u00f9 l\u2019art roman s\u2019\u00e9panouit dans la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>

Sobre et modeste \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur, elle r\u00e9v\u00e8le \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur une architecture empreinte de spiritualit\u00e9 : nef gothique du XIVe si\u00e8cle<\/strong>, vo\u00fbtes en ogives<\/strong>, fen\u00eatres cintr\u00e9es<\/strong>, et une ambiance paisible qui invite au recueillement.<\/p>

Vous pouvez acc\u00e9der \u00e0 l’Eglise \u00e0 pied depuis le g\u00eete en empruntant le chemin de la Croix de Marnay, vous y croiserez le calvaire de Marnay, qui fut batti \u00e0 l’endroit ou se tenait l’\u00e9glise de l’ancien village de Marnay, qui a disparu avant la r\u00e9volution.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Le drame de 1944
\u00e0 Druy-Parigny<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\u00c0 la fin de l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 1944, alors que les forces allemandes battent en retraite face \u00e0 l\u2019avanc\u00e9e alli\u00e9e, la r\u00e9sistance s\u2019organise dans toute la Ni\u00e8vre. Le 1er septembre<\/strong>, une section du maquis Julien, venue \u00e0 bord de deux camions, et renforc\u00e9e par un commando de S.A.S. anglais, s’est mise en position d’attaque \u00e0 Marnay, \u00e0 l’entr\u00e9e sud de Druy.<\/p>\n

Quand les premiers v\u00e9hicules ennemis apparaissent, les S.A.S. les mitraillent ; puis, comprenant que les Allemands sont trop nombreux, ils retournent au bourg de Druy et se dispersent.<\/p>\n

L\u2019op\u00e9ration provoque une repr\u00e9saille imm\u00e9diate et brutale sur les habitants de Dardault. <\/strong>L<\/span>e lendemain, les troupes allemandes reviennent en force. Elles encerclent le hameau, incendient les maisons<\/strong> et ex\u00e9cutent plusieurs civils sans distinction. Parmi les victimes figure le comte Hubert de Maigret<\/strong>, alors propri\u00e9taire du ch\u00e2teau de Druy, abattu alors qu\u2019il tentait de venir en aide aux victimes. <\/p>\n

En seulement deux jours<\/strong>, 33 maisons sont d\u00e9truites<\/strong>, et plusieurs familles endeuill\u00e9es. Le ch\u00e2teau est \u00e9galement incendi\u00e9. <\/p>\n

Ce drame reste un \u00e9pisode profond\u00e9ment ancr\u00e9 dans la m\u00e9moire locale<\/strong>. Une st\u00e8le comm\u00e9morative<\/strong>, install\u00e9e \u00e0 Dardault, \u00e0 quelques centaines de m\u00e8tres du g\u00eete,  rend hommage chaque ann\u00e9e aux victimes de cette trag\u00e9die. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
